It is hard to believe Metanoia celebrated our 2nd anniversary in February.
Year 2019 allowed the continued opportunity to offer refuge to adolescent female victims of human trafficking. Each new individual presents fresh challenges but the grace of God continues to provide for every individual need.
Since opening, Metanoia has had the opportunity to provide support, restoration, and resources to a total of 115 adolescent females. In 2019, 61 young ladies received resources and 21 of those received residential services.
Below is a breakdown of the direct care services provided in 2019:
Our Impact in 2019
Young females served and one child of resident
Individual mental health sessions
In addition to the numbers above, Metanoia has provided the survivors in our care with incalculable hours of the following:
Life skills instructions
Art and music therapy
Embroidery and cooking lessons
Field trips/cultural events
Moral/character sessions to the survivors in our care.
Group mental health sessions
Psychiatric medical maintenance sessions
Academic instruction hours
None of the above services, support systems, or activities would have occurred in the lives of these 115 young ladies, if not for your support. On behalf of all the staff at Metanoia, we graciously thank you for granting us the privilege to serve this mission. Find out how you can get involved here.
